Dana Markiewicz
Assistant Treasurer

Dana was born in Connecticut and after just 2 years her family moved south to sunny Central Florida. After graduating as top of her class in high school, University of Florida was the obvious choice for continuing her education. Dana enrolled at the University of Florida in 2000, and graduatedd with a BS in Public Relations and concentration in Business from the School of Journalism & Communications. While at UF, Dana was an active member of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, serving in various leadership roles throughout her 4 years.

Dana always envisioned herself moving back up north, so after a brief stint at an Orlando advertising agency and PR firm, Cramer-Krasselt, she made the big decision to pick up stakes and make the move to thrilling NYC. Now an Account Manager at a boutique Advertising agency, Dana handles the advertising for other area universities - none of which can hold a candle to her alma mater.

When not working at her day job or cheering on the Gators, Dana also enjoys long-distance running with NYRR, Century Bike Rides, ZogSports, and donating her time and energy to other rewarding non-profit organizations. She is the Junior Committee Vice President of the Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard & Airmen’s Club and maintains the Treasurer & Dress Chair positions for the Quadrille Ball Junior Committee, while participating in as many Black Tie events as possible…since every girl should own at least 1 (or 10) designer ball gowns to show herself off in!
